Growing up by the beach in New Plymouth, I started surfing at age nine and developed a deep awe for the waves and the sea. This love for the ocean, combined with a childhood passion for art, laid the foundation for my career as an oil painter. I began painting professionally at 19 years old.
I currently live in Yamba, Australia, where the ocean continues to inspire my art. My family and I love visiting the beach daily.
Several years ago, I began incorporating my wife, Erika, into many of my paintings. Her presence adds life and depth to the already beautiful aquatic environments I often depict.
It's incredibly rewarding to have my work sought out by people worldwide, and I feel honored when commissioned to create "a piece of significance" for clients. I also enjoy meeting those who purchase my art and often have the pleasure of personally hanging the artwork in their homes.
My paintings are a culmination of stories from my life, my home, and the places I've experienced.
